The Actuarial Sciences programme at Leicester is accredited by the Faculty and Institute of Actuaries. This means that if you perform sufficiently well within the examinations for the Postgraduate Diploma qualification, you will be automatically exempt from taking the Institute's CT 1-8 examinations - the first eight exams toward qualifying as a Fellow of the Faculty and Institute of Actuaries.
By concentrating on both technical expertise and transferable skills (such as communication and problem solving) the programme prepares graduates for direct entry into the profession and a successful career.
