There are routes for students to specialise in marketing, human resources and business finance if they so wish. The programme emphasises the enhancement of business and management skills – analysis, problem solving, decision-making, effective communication and leadership – which can be applied in the modern organisation.
The core elements of the programme – managing people,managing the environment, managing change, managing financial resources – are delivered in concentrated blocks to encourage depth of understanding and to facilitate interactive teaching and learning.
Case study analysis is central to teaching and learning and project work – individual and in groups – is a key element of the MBA at Liverpool.
The electives, which allow focused specialisation or the development of greater breadth, come from a wide range of business and management disciplines and fully reflect the extensive range of expertise in the School and in the wider University.
