学术要求:Normally a university degree in social sciences, arts, humanities and other relevant disciplines with a minimum of 2:1 standard from a UK university, or an equivalent academic qualification from a similar non-UK institution is required.

课程特征 Course Features:

The overall aim of this programme is to provide a comprehensive and high level education in the subject of marketing, specifically marketing within the context of consumer markets (as opposed to business-to-business markets).

This programme will facilitate the process of assisting students in their career development by:
•Providing students with knowledge of the principles and current issues relevant to the role of marketing in business organisations (with specific reference to consumer markets/service sector);
•Supporting the development of subject specific and key transferable skills necessary for employment in a marketing/management function;
•Providing opportunities for students to acquire a range of analytical techniques required for the effective tactical and strategic management of the marketing function within organisations;
•Enabling students to develop their IT skills and familiarity with a range of relevant financial and statistical software;
•Supporting the enhancement of skills of written and verbal communication.

This 12-month programme consists of seven taught compulsory modules and one elective module, followed by a research project carried out over the summer period upon completion of semester two.

职业机会 Career Opportunities:
Programme graduates should have enhanced access to a wide range of 'marketing management' positions within both public and private sector organisations. These would include managment services companies, consultancies, 'blue-chip' manufacturing companies, major retailers and IT sectors.

The content and delivery of the programme will also equip students with the marketing knowledge and expertise to cope with marketing aspects of operating their own business.
