It aims to encourage students to design and author creative communications that are delivered and produced using inventive and diverse combinations of digital and traditional media for a diverse range of functions and contexts.

The programme comprises five modules:
•Practice 1, orientation and experimentation
•Theory and contexts 1, orientation and evaluation
•Practice 2, experimentation and focus
•Theory and contexts 2, evaluation and focus
•Major communication design project plus report
The first four modules allow you to progressively position and develop your practice, providing a basis for the final module which offers an opportunity to produce a substantial piece of communication design research.
The first four modules provide a foundation for the fifth and final module. Allowing you to progressively position and develop your creative practice through the exploration of a range of Communication Design practices and theories. The modules are supported by a series of lectures, seminars and tutorials.
The final module provides the opportunity to engage in negotiated study to produce a substantial piece of self initiated research in your chosen Communication Design area, in the form of a major Communication Design Project plus a report.
