By the end of a Durham MA programme you will have further developed the following skills and abilities:

2. Business Economics and Accounting (Sept-Dec)
3. Organisation Behaviour (Sept-Dec)
4. Strategy (Sept-Dec)
5. Theory of Finance (Sept-Dec)
6. Corporate Finance (Jan-May)
7. Financial Management (Jan-May)
You choose 2 elective modules from a varied portfolio. Those currently on offer include:

• Decision Making for Operations
• East Asian Business and Management
• Employee Relations and Rewards
• Financial Planning and Control
• Global Business
• Mergers and Acquisitions
• Multinational Finance

Elective modules reflect current managerial thinking, academic debate and the research interests of the School; as such they are subject to change.
Please note, while statistical skills and knowledge are not considered essential, the degree does require more than basic competence in numeracy to pass.

Formative - Tutor assessed assignment. These provide feedback on a piece of work but do not count towards the module mark.
Summative - Either by Examined Coursework Assignments (ECA) only, or by both ECA and examination.
