Photographic practice
This programme exists to help you to take your work to the next level, whether you're working commercially, as an artist, or otherwise in the cultural industries. It has been designed to help you generate a significant new boy of appropriately contextualised photographic work for whatever purpose you choose - be it documentary, art, fashion, landscape or something less traditional.
It is a practical course, and the programme of studies will support you in acquiring relevant knowledge and understanding through a learning agreement and personal development plan. You may wish to work traditionally, or to update your photographic skills and work with new technologies. You also have the opportunity to study with students from different subject areas, because the School's MA programmes have been designed to encourage and enable interaction and cross-fertilisation.
In all cases, the aim of this programme is to enable you to achieve your goals with Photography, whatever they may be, so you can move on with your career or progress to further study.

Assessment is carried out via coursework at the end of each stage, culminating in an exposition of students' work towards the end of the course.

Recent graduates have set up their own photographic businesses, progressed on to further postgraduate study, secured employment as photographic consultants, or gained prominent positions in areas such as picture research, publishing, journalism and advertising.
