学术要求：A good first degree 2.1 (upper second class honours) or equivalent and a high level of proficiency in both written and spoken English.
英语要求：Students whose first language is not English should have an IELTS grade of at least 6.5 or equivalent, with 7 in the speaking and writing sections.

his is a new and exciting postgraduate programme in English Language Teaching aimed at students with little or no teaching experience with both semester one and semester two held in St Andrews.
课程内容 Course Content ：
Semester One students take three 20 credit modules.
Modules:
•General Linguistics
•Teaching and Learning 1 (including teaching methodologies, theories and approaches)
•Research Methods
Semester Two students take two 20 credit modules and two 10 credit modules.
Modules:
•Teaching and Language (including SLA)
•Teaching and Learning (including practical teaching skills, techniques and micro-teaching)
•Teaching Young Learners (YLs)
•Teaching English for Academic Purposes (EAP)
•Testing and Evaluation
Successful completion of the two semesters leads to the qualification of PG Diploma in ELT (120 credits). Students who have achieved the required grade average can proceed to the dissertation stage.
Dissertation: students usually undertake a piece of classroom research written up as a 15,000 word dissertation during the summer. Successful completion of this leads to the award of the MLitt in ELT.
