MSc Business Economics is a postgraduate masters course within the School of Economics.
It provides an advanced insight into business, both at organisational and industry level, focusing in particular on areas including international business strategy, regulation and key research methods. In studying MSc Business Economics you will utilise techniques and evidence in order to understand how industries are structured, how organisations behave within them and the impact of these factors on their performance.

•Economics of Corporate Strategy
•Small Business Economics
•Regulation
•Strategic Diversity and Political Economy of Multinationals
•Either Introductory Econometrics or Econometrics or Business and Financial Forecasting
•Dissertation or Applied research project
To be eligible to take the dissertation, you must complete at least 100 credits of taught modules in the autumn term, and achieve an average coursework mark of at least 60% in that term.
Optional modules
You are invited to select up to 40 credits of optional modules. These include, but are not limited to, areas including banking and finance, economic development, econometrics, international business, globalisation, emerging markets and strategy.

MSc Business Economics students will be assessed through written examinations, a dissertation or project, assignments, case studies and group presentations.
