Students on this programme will develop a deeper understanding of the real (nonlinear) behaviour of structures.
You will also learn advanced calculation methods to enable reliable quantitative representations of real structure behaviour under a variety of influences and apply them to the design of a range of different structures.
The range of topics covered in the programme will develop your 'problem solving skills' to a high level and help you to think in new and imaginative ways to solve difficult engineering problems.
You will be trained in a range of analytical methods and tools with a particular emphasis on computer based methods using advanced software.
