This programme addresses issues surrounding the way we work now, in a rapidly changing global environment. You will investigate issues such as human resource management in the public and private sectors; adapting leadership and practice to the cultures of different countries; how rapid global change encourages innovation in organisational leadership; and how to motivate, inspire and develop the people we work with.

This specialised pathway comprises the following modules:
•Development Management (20 credits)
• Human Resources: Managing People in Times of Global Change (20 credits)
• Leadership and Management Development (20 credits)
• One of the following two modules (20 credits) Introduction to Development Projects; Making Policy
• Choice of optional modules (40 credits) – choose from over 25 IDD modules plus others from across the University
• Organized overseas study visit to investigate cutting-edge issues and learn from detailed discussions with policymakers and practitioners
• Dissertation (60 credits, MSc only) – focus in depth on a topic of particular interest, with support from a dissertation supervisor
教学和评估 Teaching and Assessment:
The program uses a range of learning and teaching methods including short lectures, group work, group and individual presentations, individual study and exercises. Each module is assessed differently using assessments that include 2,000–3,000 word essays, group projects, presentations, exercises and exams. A 10,000–12,000 word dissertation is also required for the MSc award.
